Why does my Soy Candle
soot or Smoke??
Soy candles in general produce significantly less soot or smoke compared to a paraffin candle.
There are two reasons why a Soy Candle will produce soot, the very first and most common
reason is an untrimmed wick.  The untrimmed wick(over 1/4 inch tall) will allow the flame to
consume up to twice as much fuel needed, this fuel rich burn causes black smoke and also
reduces the life of you candle up to 50 percent.  The next reason is trying to burn that last 1/4 inch
of wax left at the bottom of the jar.  We recommend you put the candle out with no less than 1/4
wax remaining.  This guards against the jar getting over heated and excessive smoking.
